About this opportunity
The General Services Administration Public Buildings Service is preparing to lease office space in Charlotte, North Carolina, with a response deadline of August 4, 2026, for a firm term of five years plus up to two five-year options, totaling a potential ten-year occupancy.
The government seeks 2,384 rentable square feet on a single contiguous ground floor with direct access from a secure parking lot. The space must accommodate four reserved parking spaces and meet a parking-to-square-foot ratio of at least one space per 200 square feet, complying with current local code requirements or higher. The current lease in Charlotte is expiring, and the government will evaluate alternative space based on economic advantage, including relocation costs, tenant improvement replication, telecommunications infrastructure, and agency downtime.
Space must meet federal requirements for fire safety, accessibility, seismic resilience, and sustainability standards; must be fully serviced; and cannot be located in the 1-percent-annual-chance floodplain. Entities should familiarize themselves with Section 889 of the FY19 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) telecommunications prohibitions. This is not a set-aside procurement.
