About this opportunity
The Internal Revenue Service is procuring the US Bank SinglePoint system, a web-based service that enables IRS end users to access and process returned item checks and adjustments at Submission Processing Campuses in Austin, TX and Ogden, UT. This sole source commercial acquisition involves a system that scans checks through manual deposits and uploads them for processing, with the mission of delivering taxpayer returned item checks and forms in a timely and accurate manner. The procurement is categorized under NAICS code 423420 (Office Equipment Merchant Wholesalers) and PSC code R711 (Support-Management: Banking). The solicitation was posted on July 22, 2025, with responses due by July 29, 2025, providing only seven days for submission. The government has attached two files to support this opportunity: a sole source justification document and a combined synopsis and solicitation.
This procurement does not utilize any set-aside designations and is being conducted as a sole source acquisition, indicating US Bank is the anticipated contractor based on their existing SinglePoint system capabilities. The contract structure includes a five-year period of performance consisting of a 12-month base period followed by four twelve-month option periods. The primary place of performance is Austin, TX, though the system also serves the Ogden, UT Submission Processing Campus. The IRS Submission Processing Accounting division processes dishonored check debits that come back from US Bank as part of this operational requirement. While specific award values are not disclosed in the opportunity notice, the multi-year structure suggests a significant ongoing operational support contract for critical IRS financial processing functions.
