About this opportunity

The 153d Airlift Wing of the Wyoming Air National Guard is conducting market research to identify potential small business contractors for a fire detection system upgrade and merge project at FE Warren Air Force Base. The sources sought announcement seeks companies capable of reconfiguring existing servers, merging databases, and implementing technology upgrades across multiple buildings including Fire Station Building 33, Security Forces Building 42, and the Command Post Building 36. Interested parties must submit detailed company information including CAGE code, contact details, small business classification, and GSA Advantage availability by April 30, 2025. Contractors will be required to install new rack-mount CPUs, UPS backup power, network switches, and KVM extenders, as well as conduct system testing and provide up to 4 hours of operator training. All communication must be electronic, sent to MSgt Kris Kahle and MSgt Chris Davalos via their military email addresses, with no phone inquiries permitted.

This is a market research effort with no immediate solicitation or award, focusing on understanding potential small business contractor capabilities for a future acquisition. The project requires work during normal business hours (7:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday-Friday) and strict adherence to base security procedures. No specific set-aside has been definitively established, though the research is exploring potential small business categories including 8(a), VOSB, SDVOSB, HUBZone, SDB, and WOSB designations. The scope involves technology integration across multiple buildings at the 153d Airlift Wing in Cheyenne, Wyoming, with a focus on modernizing fire detection and monitoring systems. While no specific budget or award value was disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the technical complexity suggests a potentially significant infrastructure upgrade project for the Department of the Army National Guard.
