The notice indicates NOAA's intent to award a single source, firm fixed price contract to Oceanscout Underwater Gliders under Simplified Acquisition Procedures in FAR part 13 and Commercial procedures in FAR part 12. This acquisition is specifically for the Southwest Fisheries Science Center's Ecosystem Science Division, which requires these specialized underwater gliders for monitoring primary production around offshore wind energy lease areas off the U.S. west coast. The procurement is being conducted as an 8(a) Sole Source contract, meaning it is not a competitive solicitation.
