This presolicitation notice seeks capability statements for an undergraduate summer research preparatory course. The National Institutes of Health National Institute on Drug Abuse aims to establish a pilot program to prepare students from traditionally underrepresented populations for careers in biomedical research and medicine. Interested offerors must have experience providing academic support services to and coordinating research projects for such students. Capability statements must specifically address each requirement, providing details on offeror qualifications and experience meeting the needs of underrepresented students. Statements exceeding ten pages will not be considered, and are due by August 22nd.

No set-aside designation is used. Offerors should have experience demonstrated through academic support services and research project coordination for underrepresented students. The notice does not provide potential award values or budgets, nor name incumbent contractors. The opportunity involves establishing a comprehensive summer curriculum and hands-on laboratory activities for undergraduate students to introduce them to basic and clinical research areas and professional development topics in preparation for biomedical research and medical careers.
