About this opportunity
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) has issued a Special Notice for a sole source contract with Radiological Service Training Institute, Inc. (RSTI) to provide a comprehensive training courseload for imaging technicians at the Jesse Brown VAMC in Chicago, IL. This acquisition is being conducted under the authority of simplified acquisition procedures.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to negotiate a sole source contract with RSTI, as they are the only source that can provide the existing courseload and training knowledge to best support the facility's needs in the quickest timeframe. The contract will be a firm fixed price, one-time purchase of the biomedical imaging training. The NAICS code is 611430 with a $15M size standard. Interested parties must provide written notification with supporting evidence to the Contract Specialist by 10:00 AM CT on August 19, 2024. The Government reserves the discretion to not compete the proposed procurement based on the responses received.

Under Statutory Authority 41 U.S.C. 1901 the Great Lakes Acquisition Center (GLAC) intends to
negotiate a sole source contract with RADIOLOGICAL SERVICE TRAINING INSTITUTE, INC for the purchase of a comprehensive training courseload at the Jesse Brown VAMC in Chicago, IL. This technical training courseload will provide the imaging technician with the knowledge and expertise needed for the biomedical engineering department.
(RSTI) is the only company that can provide the already existing courseload and training knowledge to best set up the imaging technician for success in their role, and in the quickest fashion to support the facility s needs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotes. This acquisition is conducted under the authority of 41 U.S.C. 1901 Simplified acquisition procedures as implemented in FAR 13.106-3(b)(3)(i), only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This will be a firm fixed price contract for the one-time buy of a biomedical imaging training courseload. The North American
Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 611430 with a business size standard of $15
million dollars.
No solicitation documents are available and telephone requests will not be accepted. However,
any firm that believes it can meet these requirements may give written notification to the Contract Specialist by 10:00 AM Local Time (Central) Monday August 19th, 2024.
Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply
with the above requirements per VAAR Clause 852.212-71(c). Information must be sent to the Contract Specialist, Makena James at Makena.James@va.gov. Responses received will be evaluated, however a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
