About this opportunity
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center (AFLCMC) within the Department of the Air Force Materiel Command is seeking contractor sources to provide Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) for the U-2 AN/ALQ-221 Electronic Warfare System (EWS) installed on United States Air Force aircraft. This Request for Information (RFI) is designed to identify potential contractors with the repair data, expertise, capabilities, and experience necessary to support depot-level repair and sustainment of EWS hardware and software components. Key qualifications and objectives include demonstrating facility capabilities for depot-level repairs, full material management and inventory control, asset visibility systems, and the ability to provide serviceable components and manage consumable inventory. The RFI does not specify formal evaluation criteria, as this is an information-gathering phase rather than a formal competitive solicitation; however, respondents must complete a detailed capability survey addressing business information, repair capabilities, engineering services, facility capabilities, past experience, repair processes, quality assurance measures, and inventory management systems. The deadline for submitting responses is January 22, 2026, at close of business, with electronic submissions directed to Contracting Officer Zebulon Locke and Contracting Specialist Hannah Tuck.
No set-aside designations are being used for this procurement, and the RFI is open to both large and small businesses, with encouragement for joint ventures and teaming arrangements. The original equipment manufacturer for the EWS is BAE Systems Information and Electronic Systems Integration Inc., which may provide relevant context for potential contractors. The RFI does not establish a specific award value or budget range, as it is solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a commitment to issue a Request for Proposal or award a contract. This notice is classified under NAICS 541330 (Engineering Services) and PSC Category R425 (Support—Professional: Engineering/Technical). Interested parties should note that responding to this RFI is voluntary and that non-response does not preclude participation in any future competitive RFP that may be issued.
