About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is soliciting bids for a TUNING UNIT, RADIO F, classified under the NAICS category of Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing. The contract involves repairing and processing communication assets with specific return-to-acceptance time (RTAT) requirements, focusing on radio equipment maintenance and throughput management. Contractors must accurately report all transactions within five business days of physical asset receipt and obtain final government inspection and acceptance. The solicitation does not specify explicit evaluation criteria, but performance will be measured against established RTAT requirements, with potential price adjustments for non-compliance. The proposal response is due by March 17, 2025, with the opportunity initially posted on February 13, 2025.
The solicitation does not indicate a specific set-aside designation, suggesting the opportunity is open to all qualified contractors. While precise award values are not explicitly stated, the contract includes provisions for pricing each unit at a negotiated rate contingent on meeting performance standards. The contract allows for monthly repair throughput, with a 365-day window after contract award for asset repairs. Contractors must be prepared to process and return communication assets, with specific performance metrics tied to their ability to meet established return times and transaction reporting requirements. The contract appears to be primarily focused on technical asset management and repair services for naval communication equipment, with potential national defense implications suggested by the priority rating notice.
