About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command seeks two industrial metalworking machines for Luke Air Force Base's Aircraft Structural Maintenance flight to support F-35 hydraulic line fabrication, with proposals due September 17, 2026 at 1:00 PM local time. The procurement is a total small business set-aside, foreclosing competition outside that category.
Place of performance is Luke AFB, Arizona (14185 Falcon St, Luke AFB, AZ 85309). The requirement comprises one fully electric, CNC tube bender machine operating on the Bend Pro G2 Control System and one pneumatic double-flare tube machine generating 37-degree double flares on tube ends. The tube bender must accommodate an 8-foot tube-over-mandrel capacity with centerline radius range from 0.5 to 10 inches, fit within a 17-by-5-by-6-foot footprint, and be compatible with existing USAF Form-Line tooling to avoid redundant procurement costs. The bender includes seven comprehensive dedicated bend tooling packages for tubing outer diameters from 0.500 to 1.750 inches, with integrated AC electrical cabinet cooling, proximity laser safety scanner, and remote footswitch operation. The flaring machine must be pneumatically powered at 75–100 psi, feature single-lever operation, fit within 33-by-23-by-43 inches, and include a complete 37-degree double-flare jaw and die set for tubing outside diameters of 0.188", 0.250", 0.312", and 0.375" with wall thicknesses from 0.020" to 0.035". Both machines require a minimum 12-month warranty, three days of on-site installation and training for the bender, and a floor-mounted stand with integrated tool rack for the flare machine. Delivery to Luke AFB is required by December 31, 2026. The NAICS code is 333517 (Machine Tool Manufacturing) with a 500-employee size standard; PSC is 3441. Funds are not presently available; no award will be made until funds become available.
