About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Materiel Command Contracting Command Orlando Contracting Center has issued a Special Notice for the Training and Readiness Accelerator II (TReX II) program. The notice announces a Request for Solutions (RFS) for the Next Generation Constructive (NGC) Acceleration, which includes Synthetic Training Environment Software (STE-SW). This opportunity is structured under an Other Transaction Agreement (OTA) in support of the Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training, and Instrumentation (PEO-STRI). The special notice is designed to spur innovative development and expedited delivery of prototypes to enhance warfighter readiness through advanced modeling and simulation technologies. The solicitation aims to develop prototypes that can directly improve mission effectiveness for military personnel and supporting defense platforms.
Contractors interested in this opportunity must be members of the TReX II consortium, with membership requiring a thorough vetting process that interested parties are advised to begin immediately. The program seeks US-owned companies with an active Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) code, focusing on developing a unified, modernized training system capable of simulating multi-domain operations across various military echelons. The RFS has a due date of April 28, 2025, with potential for follow-on production contracts without additional competitive procedures, contingent on successful prototype completion. Vendors can propose solutions addressing capability areas including core services integration, testing, cybersecurity, virtual collective training, and domain-specific simulation capabilities. The initiative has a 36-month performance period and covers critical areas such as movement and maneuver, fires, sustainment, intelligence, cyber effects, and space models. Interested parties should visit https://www.trexii.org/ for more information and can contact TReXII@ati.org for membership inquiries.
