The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers New England District is soliciting chemical vegetation spraying services to control vegetation and invasive species at Barre Falls Dam in Massachusetts. The work encompasses three distinct areas: dam spraying covering approximately 3.75 acres of rip rap along the dam structure, spillway spraying addressing woody and invasive vegetation along 0.75 acres of spillway area, and targeted roadside treatment of approximately 2000 square feet to eliminate invasive species including Bittersweet, Multiflora rose, poison ivy, autumn olive, and Buckthorn while preserving non-invasive vegetation. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, and equipment to achieve a minimum 90% vegetation kill rate through appropriate chemical treatments. The solicitation requires compliance with environmental protection measures, safety protocols, and public notice posting requirements. The original solicitation deadline of August 8, 2025 at 1:00 PM has been extended to August 18, 2025 through Amendment 0001, with all chemical treatment work to be completed by October 1, 2025.

The contract period extends from award through November 15, 2025, establishing a firm fixed-price arrangement for the vegetation management services. Work will be performed at Barre Falls Dam located in Barre, Massachusetts, spanning areas in both Hubbardston and Barre townships as detailed in the provided geospatial maps. The total treatment area encompasses approximately 4.5 acres across the dam infrastructure, spillway, and roadside locations within the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers project boundaries.
