About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Medical is planning to issue a solicitation for a national requirements contract to supply Trazodone HCL tablets in both 50 mg and 100 mg formulations, packaged in bottles of 90, 100, 500, and 1,000 count units. This is an unrestricted, fully competitive acquisition open to all qualified sources, with the resulting contract establishing a national supply source for the Department of Defense, Department of Veterans Affairs, Indian Health Service, and Bureau of Prisons. The contract will be structured as a firm-fixed price, requirements-type agreement utilizing FAR Part 12 procedures for commercial items, with a one-year base period followed by four one-year renewal options. The procurement will be evaluated based on standard commercial item evaluation criteria, though specific evaluation weightings have not been detailed in this pre-solicitation notice. The projected solicitation date is November 2025, though the Defense Logistics Agency reserves the right to issue before or after this timeframe. Interested parties should contact Nancy Fernandez at (445-737-0713) or nancy.fernandez@dla.mil with questions, and are encouraged to establish automated notifications through the DLA Bid Board System (DIBBS) at https://www.dibbs.bsm.dla.mil and Sam.Gov to monitor for solicitation updates.

This procurement carries no set-aside designation and represents an open market opportunity with no identified incumbent contractors mentioned in the pre-solicitation notice. The specific contract value and annual usage estimates have not been disclosed at this stage; however, these details will be provided in the Schedule of Supplies section of the formal solicitation. No particular qualifications or certifications are specified in this pre-solicitation notice, though pharmaceutical manufacturers must maintain appropriate FDA licensing and comply with all applicable pharmaceutical manufacturing regulations. The solicitation documents will be posted to both DIBBS and Sam.Gov upon release, allowing potential bidders ample time to review requirements and prepare proposals. Given the national scope of this requirement and the multi-agency customer base, award is anticipated to generate significant pharmaceutical supply volume across federal health services.
