About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 10 is seeking quotes for trauma and crime scene cleanup services through RFQ 36C25025Q0796. The procurement covers comprehensive biohazardous material removal and decontamination services at multiple VA medical facilities and clinics across Ohio, including the Louis Stokes Cleveland VA Medical Center and community-based outpatient clinics in Akron, Canton, Youngstown, and Cleveland. Services include cleaning scenes involving suicides, violent deaths, traumatic injuries, blood and bodily fluid spills, and hazardous drug residues. Contractors must demonstrate experience with trauma scene cleanup, use EPA-registered disinfectants, comply with OSHA bloodborne pathogen standards, maintain comprehensive employee safety plans, and provide 24/7 emergency response with a 2-hour response time. Complete quotes with required documentation and pricing must be submitted via email to jennifer.nowak@va.gov by 12:00 PM Eastern Time on September 2, 2025. The solicitation will be archived 30 days after the response deadline, and no debriefs will be conducted.

This opportunity operates under NAICS code 562910 (Remediation Services) with a $25 million small business size standard, though the current solicitation does not specify any set-aside designation. No incumbent contractors or current service providers are identified in the available documentation. While specific contract values or budget ranges are not disclosed in the pre-solicitation notice, the comprehensive nature of services across multiple VA facilities suggests a substantial service agreement. The contract structure includes a base year covering the extensive network of VA medical facilities and clinics throughout Ohio. The 24/7 emergency response requirement with mandatory 2-hour response times indicates the critical nature of these services and the need for immediate availability when traumatic incidents occur at VA facilities.
