About this opportunity

The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command seeks transformer upgrade supplies for delivery to Fairchild Air Force Base, Washington, with quotations due May 6, 2026 at 10:00 AM PT and questions due May 4, 2026 at 10:00 AM PT. This procurement is a 100% small business set-aside under NAICS 332510 (Hardware Manufacturing, 750-employee size standard) and PSC 5340. Amendment 0001, published May 5, clarified cable specifications for CLIN 12 and incorporated a revised Salient Characteristics & Pricing Schedule.

The requirement is one lot of electrical and structural components to repair and upgrade a transformer in the Structures Shop, ensuring stable power supply for high-draw equipment and mission readiness. Line items include 4" EMT conduit elbows, couplings, connectors, and rigid steel conduit; a NEMA 3R electrical enclosure 36" × 36" × 14" with screw cover; structural support materials (deep strut, end angles, threaded rod, and strut straps); mechanical lugs; and 1,280 feet of 400 MCM THHN/THWN-2 stranded copper cable in black (supplied on a 2,500-foot spool). All items must be provided as brand name or equal in salient characteristics.

This is a commercial acquisition under FAR Part 12 conducted as a combined synopsis/solicitation (RFQ) with no separate written solicitation. Contract type is Firm Fixed Price with FOB Destination; shipping costs to Fairchild AFB must be included in quoted price. Supplies will be inspected and accepted at destination. The government intends to award without discussions. Evaluation factors include price for fairness, reasonableness, and consistency with historical prices, along with Supplier Performance Risk System (SPRS) rating. Offerors must be registered and active in SAM at the time of quote submission. Quotations must include unit prices to no more than two decimal places; failure to price all line items renders the quote incomplete and potentially ineligible. Offerors must acknowledge receipt of the amendment by the deadline. Contractors must comply with Air Force-specific terms, including prohibition of Class I Ozone Depleting Substances in testing, operation, or maintenance activities.
