About this opportunity

The National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Goddard Space Center has published a Special Notice indicating its intent to issue a sole source contract to the Laboratory for Atmospheric and Space Physics (LASP) at the University of Colorado for the continued mission operations and data processing of the Total and Spectral Solar Irradiance Sensor-2 (TSIS-2) system. The contract is expected to commence in May 2025 when the TSIS-2 system is expected to launch.

The purpose of this Special Notice is to inform interested parties of NASA's intent to award a sole source contract to LASP for the development of command procedures, receipt and monitoring of sensor operations, processing and distribution of TSIS-2 science data products, and maintenance of algorithms, calibration, and data products. The contract will have a 1-year base period with two 1-year option periods. NASA does not intend to acquire this as a commercial item. Interested parties can submit their capabilities to NASA by March 17, 2024, in an effort to potentially compete for this acquisition.
