Update #2 · Latest ·

This is a pre-solicitation notice.

The Forest Service contemplates issuing a solicitation for the Tongass National Forest Mechanical Maintenance project (sol. no. AG-0116-S-13-0045) on or after April 22, 2013, using this FedBizOpps website. Proposals will be due thirty or so days after release of the solicitation, and contract award is anticipated by July 1, 2013.

This project is for commercial services for mechanical and plumbing scheduled maintenance services for buildings located on the Tongass National Forest. Unscheduled maintenance services are also required. Equipment to be serviced include but are not limited to; HVAC systems, boilers, water heaters and ventilation systems.

The government contemplates awarding a single contract. The term of the contract will be a base year with four option years, totaling a five year period.

The government contemplates award of a firm fixed price contract for scheduled maintenance and will write firm fixed price task orders for unscheduled maintenance.

An organized site visit is not planned; however offerors are encouraged to inspect all buildings listed in Exhibit 1 to assess the condition and complexity of the equipment. Failure to do so does not relive the offeror from accurately performing the work required. Facility tours can be arranged by contacting Kent Bowers at 907-228-6223.

Exhibit 1 listing buildings and locations is provided for the benefit of prospective offerors.

All questions regarding this acquisition must be directed to the contracting officer. The preferred method of communication is by e-mail to crpowell@fs.fed.us with the solicitation number in the subject line.

Interested concerns should visit this FedBizOpps website from time to time to stay up-to-date on any amendments or other information that might be provided here.
