About this opportunity
The Department of the Navy's Naval Air Systems Command is seeking to award a sole-source purchase order to Mettler Toledo for annual on-site Preventative Maintenance and service of the Government-owned Titration Excellence T9 and related ancillary components at the Naval Base Coronado, Fleet Readiness Center Southwest (FRCSW) in San Diego, CA. The contractor must have full knowledge of the equipment, be able to perform work in compliance with the manufacturer's technical specifications, and have immediate access to spare parts. The contractor is required to provide a Maintenance Service Report after each Preventative Maintenance inspection. Services are to be performed during normal business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding federal holidays.
This is not a set-aside requirement, and the solicitation is being issued under FAR 13.106-1(b)(i), as only one source (Mettler Toledo) is reasonably available to meet the agency's requirements. The period of performance includes one base year and two one-year option periods. Interested parties may submit capability statements within five calendar days of the posting date, which will be considered to determine if a competitive procurement is warranted, though the Government has discretion on this decision.
