Added: May 21, 2015 11:29 am NASA/GRC plans to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) for Thruster and Power Processing Unit Development for an Advanced Electric Propulsion (EP) System Acquisition.

NASA seeks to procure an advanced Solar Electric Propulsion (EP) System that will enable future deep space human and robotic exploration applicable to the United States private and public sector space needs.

The draft RFP package is attached to this synopsis.

The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12.

The NAICS Code and Size Standard are 541712 and 1000 employees, respectively.

All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency.

The anticipated release date of the FINAL RFP is on or about 7/14/2015 with an anticipated offer due date of on or about 8/28/2015.

NASA Clause 1852.215-84, Ombudsman, is applicable. The Center Ombudsman for this acquisition can be found at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/pub/p ub_library/Omb.html .

The solicitation and any documents related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These documents will reside on a World Wide Web (WWW) server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. Prospective Offerors shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer.
