About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure thrust reverser security components for repair and modification under National Stock Number 7R-1560-016276043-P8. This acquisition falls under the Airframe Structural Components category (PSC 1560) and is classified as a pre-solicitation notice posted on September 12, 2025, with a proposal due date of March 13, 2026. The Government will issue all contractual documents, including contracts, purchase orders, and task orders, through mail, facsimile, or electronic commerce methods such as email, with acceptance of the contractor's proposal constituting bilateral agreement. The solicitation will specify evaluation criteria through the inclusion of applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation clauses and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement requirements. The Government accepts and prefers early and incremental deliveries to support operational requirements.

This procurement is a 100% set-aside for small business concerns, with the specific type of set-aside to be determined in the final solicitation through clauses addressing HUBZone, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business, Economically Disadvantaged Women-Owned Small Business, Women-Owned Small Business, or Historically Black College or University and Minority Institution designations. The acquisition requires delivery of four units (QTY 4 EA) on a free on board (FOB) origin basis, with delivery expected to commence following contract award. While specific award values are not disclosed in this pre-solicitation notice, the relatively modest quantity and component nature of the procurement suggest a contract of limited to moderate value. Interested parties should consult Military and Federal Specifications, Qualified Products Lists, and other standardized documents available through the Department of Defense Single Stock Point or ASSIST-Online to prepare competitive proposals.
