About this opportunity
The General Services Administration (GSA) is seeking qualified fire alarm contractors to provide installation services for fire alarm systems meeting specific technical specifications in the Corpus Christi, Texas area. The procurement requires contractors to supply equipment equivalent to one of three manufacturer systems: Siemens Building Technologies Modular Pro, EST4X Voice EVAC, or Notifier NFS3030, with all equipment serviceable by at least three independent authorized providers within 250 miles of the location. Key qualifications include employing a full-time NICET IV Fire Alarm Technician certified on the proposed system and holding a Texas APS License, and having installation supervised by a NICET III Fire Alarm Technician. Contractors must demonstrate at least three successful past projects valued over $500,000 each involving NFPA-compliant fire alarm installation or replacement in occupied, functioning office buildings. The due date for initial inquiries or pre-proposal communications is April 3, 2026, and interested firms should contact GSA Contracting Officer Kevin Mack at kevin.mack@gsa.gov for additional details.
This opportunity is designated as a Total Small Business set-aside, restricting competition to small business entities as defined by the Small Business Administration. No incumbent contractor or award value has been specified in the pre-solicitation notice. The procurement falls under NAICS code 561621 (Security Systems Services) and PSC code N063 (Installation of Equipment—Alarm, Signal, and Security Detection Systems), indicating the focus on specialized fire alarm system installation and compliance services. The notice does not provide a specific project timeline, total contract value, or quantity of installations required, suggesting these details will be released in the formal solicitation document. Contractors interested in pursuing this opportunity should begin preparing documentation of their NICET certifications, Texas licensing credentials, and portfolio of qualifying projects prior to the formal request for proposals.
