The Department of State US Embassy Tegucigalpa seeks concrete materials (blocks and pavers) with delivery to Choluteca, Honduras, with quotations due July 27 at 10:00 a.m. local time. Place of performance is Tegucigalpa, Francisco Morazán, Honduras, with delivery to the Choluteca Morgue facility at Barrio El Hospital, Choluteca. The requirement consists of three line items: 2,000 concrete blocks (8"×8"×16", intermediate type, extra strong resistance, ASTM C90-85 compliant); 48,000 concrete pavers (cross-style, 8 centimeters thickness, 4,000 psi compressive strength); and pre-delivery inspection, transportation, and unloading services. Materials must be new condition, in normal operating ranges, with no grey market or refurbished products. A manufacturer's standard 12-month warranty covering defects during normal use is required. Delivery must occur within 20 days of contract award; this timeline is firm and cannot be extended, per a July 21 Q&A update.
Pricing must be submitted in Honduran Lempiras on a firm-fixed-price basis. Quotations are valid for 60 days. Value Added Tax is not applicable due to the Embassy's tax exemption certificate. Please note that this is a combined synopsis/solicitation for a commercial item, prepared in accordance with the format FAR 12.202, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued.
All responsible sources may submit a quotation, which will be considered.
The Government may award the contract based on the initial offer without discussion. The resultant contract will be a firm-fixed-price type contract.
All contractors shall be registered in the SAM (System for Award Management) Database https://www.sam.gov prior to submitting an offer pursuant to FAR provision 52.204-7. Therefore, prospective offerors are encouraged to register prior to the submittal of quotations.
