About this opportunity

The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Marketing Service (AMS) Commodity Procurement Program is soliciting offers for mixed fresh produce to support domestic food assistance programs. This firm-fixed-price solicitation requires products that are exclusively United States-origin commodities and mandates delivery on an FOB destination basis to multiple locations across the country. The contract includes a probationary period for new contractors, initially limiting awards to 10 truckloads per product until the contractor successfully delivers at least five truckloads, at which point probationary status is removed. All offers must be submitted electronically through the USDA Web Based Supply Chain Management (WBSCM) system, with a deadline of January 27, 2026, and award announcements expected by February 10, 2026. Bidders are advised to submit only quantities they can reasonably produce and deliver, and all future information regarding amendments and awards will be published through WBSCM and the Contract Opportunities website (sam.gov).

This solicitation is designated as a 100% small business set-aside, making it available exclusively to qualified small business entities. The procurement encompasses a total of 54,590 units of mixed fresh produce with scheduled deliveries between April 1, 2026 and June 30, 2026 to eight geographic regions including Alaska, California, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, Puerto Rico, Virginia, and Wisconsin. No incumbent contractor information or specific award values are identified in the solicitation notice. The contract type is firm-fixed-price, and destination quantities are estimates subject to adjustment based on actual requirements. Christopher Edwards serves as the solicitation specialist and David Cottrell as the contracting officer for this acquisition.
