About this opportunity
The United States Customs and Border Protection (CBP), Office of Information and Technology, is seeking Technology Service Desk (TSD) support services for a comprehensive, 24x7x365 technology helpdesk operation. The contract will support more than 65,000 CBP employees, contractors, trade partners, and participating government agencies across 1,800 global locations. The primary objective is to provide Tier 1 Internal and External Operations support, including incident detection, classification, investigation, resolution, and communication for nearly 300 custom and commercial-off-the-shelf system applications. This Request for Information (RFI) is designed to conduct market research and assess industry capabilities for providing these critical technology support services. Responses are due by 1:00 PM EST on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, and must be submitted via email to monica.y.watts@cbp.dhs.gov, with a six-page maximum limit excluding cover pages.
The pre-solicitation notice does not currently include a specific set-aside designation or indicate a predetermined contract vehicle or type. The anticipated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 541519 for Other Computer Related Services, suggesting the procurement will target small to mid-sized IT service providers. While no specific budget range or award value is mentioned, the scope suggests a significant, potentially multi-year contract given the comprehensive global support requirements. The technology support services will cover a wide range of systems and locations, indicating a complex and potentially high-value procurement. The government has not yet disclosed specific evaluation criteria or requested detailed capability statements at this stage, emphasizing that the current notice is strictly for market research and planning purposes.
