The intent of this notice is to determine the availability of business to provide Inspection, Calibration, and Maintenance on Fixed Monitoring Stations.
Reclamation has established the need for long-term, continuous daily monitoring of total dissolved gas, temperature, barometric pressure at each of its three sites on the mid-Columbia River and seasonal monitoring at a fourth site (tailrace at Hungry Horse Dam), with potential for year-round monitoring when forced winter spill is required.

As river management agencies began comparing water quality methodology and data, problems
associated with inconsistent field monitoring equipment maintenance were identified and quality
assurance / quality control (QA/QC) protocols were developed to improve data confidence. As required in the most recent Federal Columbia River Power System (FCRPS) Biological Opinion (December 2000), minimum data quality objectives were defined and QA/QC lab and field protocols proposed in March 2002 by hydropower authorities. Reclamation intends to adopt the draft Data Quality Objectives (DQO) and is interested in improving data confidence at each Reclamation fixed monitoring site.
