About this opportunity

This pre-solicitation notice seeks a tanker voyage charter to transport approximately 200,000 barrels of JP5 fuel from loading ports in Jebel Ali and Fujairah, UAE to discharge ports in Augusta, Italy; Souda Bay, Crete; and Rota, Spain. The Military Sealift Command of the Department of the Navy will evaluate proposals based on the offeror's ability to provide a clean, double-hull tanker with inert gas system and segregated ballast tanks capable of carrying the required cargo within designated tanks and with double valve isolation. The closing date for responses is November 23, 2022.

There is no set-aside designation for this procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal. The decision to release the solicitation as unrestricted was made based on market research and approved by the Deputy Associate Director of Small Business Programs. Description:  One, clean, approved, U.S. or foreign flag, double-hull tanker, with an Inert Gas System (IGS) and Segregated Ballast Tanks (SBT) that is capable of carrying a minimum of 200,000 bbls of clean product (intentions JP5) within vessel’s natural segregation in designated cargo tanks with double valve isolation.
