About this opportunity
The Department of State has issued a Justification and Approval for Other Than Full and Open Competition for the purchase of Automatic Voltage Regulator (AVR) service and repairs for the U.S. Embassy in Tallinn, Estonia. The Embassy requires a qualified service provider to inspect, service, and replace OEM/proprietary spare parts for the AVR equipment, which is critical to providing stable, reliable power to sensitive life-safety, security, and IT systems. The rationale for the limited/sole source justification is that the spare parts are only available from the manufacturer, who is the only qualified service provider for this proprietary equipment. The estimated cost for this service is $35,000, and the contract is expected to be awarded to an unknown vendor by September 26, 2024.
Notice text

These parts are required in order to provide stable reliable power to the downstream electrical equipment including sensitive computer systems, fire alarm panels, battery systems, physical security barriers, intrusion detection systems, and other important Embassy systems.
Awarded contract TBD to unknown vendor for unknown amount on 2024-09-26.
