About this opportunity
The U.S. Special Operations Command (USSOCOM), through the General Services Administration's Assisted Acquisition Services, is seeking to extend the current Tactical Radio Application Extension (TRAX) Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) Software, Systems, and Services contract. The procurement focuses on critical software and services supporting multiple military branches, including Special Operations, Army, Air Force, Navy, and Marine Corps. Key contract requirements include TRAX software upgrades, software assurance, help desk support, field service support, and engineering services for TRAX-enabled platforms. Potential vendors must submit detailed responses by May 1, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. EST, addressing their capabilities and compliance with performance requirements. Strict security clearance prerequisites mandate that contractor personnel possess a minimum Secret clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates this is a sole source contract extension to Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC), with no specific set-aside designations. The current contract will be extended for an additional five years, with a potential ceiling increase of approximately $500 million. This modification aims to ensure continuous service delivery without interruption, leveraging the authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1) which allows for sole source procurement when only one responsible source can satisfy agency requirements. The original contract was initially awarded in September 2025, and this extension will cover software, systems, and related technical services across multiple military domains. The procurement falls under the Software Publishers NAICS category (513210) and the IT and Telecom High Performance Compute Product Service Code (7B20), signaling a sophisticated and specialized technological requirement.
