About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Air Mobility Command is seeking a small business contractor to provide a Warbird SNJ/T-6 Formation Flight Demonstration at Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst (JB MDL) during the base's Open House from May 16-18, 2025. The solicitation (FA448425Q0008) requires the contractor to supply a minimum of two T-6/SNJ Texan Warbird aircraft for daily formation flight demonstrations and static displays, with May 16 designated as a rehearsal/family day. The contract will be awarded using a lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) competition, where offerors must demonstrate their capability to provide the required aircraft and perform the specified demonstrations. To be considered technically acceptable, contractors must provide documentation confirming their ability to perform the aircraft demonstrations and be registered in SAM.gov. Proposals are due by March 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM local time, with the contract to be administered by Alexander Gibson at McGuire AFB.
The solicitation is set aside exclusively for small businesses under NAICS category 711219 (Other Spectator Sports) with a size standard of $16.5 million. The contractor must maintain $1 million liability insurance per aircraft/occurrence and will be responsible for aircraft demonstrations during the event. The government will provide lodging (May 15-19), ground transportation, fuel/oil, hangar space, and lunch/refreshments during show hours. Payment will be made as a single lump sum within 30 days of invoice, with no advance payments permitted. Contractors may sell merchandise related to their aircraft with prior approval and may accept unsolicited donations if they are a legitimate 501c3 Warbird organization. The place of performance is McGuire AFB in New Jersey, with contractors required to attend daily pre-show briefings and comply with base security and medical protocols outlined in the accompanying documents.
