About this opportunity

The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation is seeking to procure the AN/ALQ-161 RF Common Module (Band 7), a sophisticated signal processing unit capable of handling multiple RF signal inputs, splitting and switching paired outputs, and providing video detection. The module is a critical component of an Electronic Warfare system that requires integrated Transistor to Transistor Logic (TTL) compatible drivers. Interested parties must demonstrate technical capabilities to produce a Form Fit Function and Interface (F3I) replacement that meets specific performance requirements. The procurement will be conducted using Full and Open Competition as prescribed by FAR 6.1, with interested vendors required to identify their capabilities by April 7, 2025, by emailing specified Air Force contacts. Potential contractors must understand that this is an informational synopsis and not a formal solicitation, with no commitment or funding available for response preparation.

The contract will be structured with 5 Ordering Periods and a First Article Ordering Period, totaling 39 Base Equipped Quantity (BEQ) units across different procurement stages. L3Harris (formerly EDO Corporation) is the original equipment manufacturer with CAGE code 82340, and they currently maintain the RF Common Module configuration. The Government owns the specification control drawing, which details physical dimensions, design, construction, and comprehensive performance requirements. The procurement involves a Requirements type contract, with initial periods including 2 BEQ for First Article and 20 BEQ for Production Units, followed by subsequent ordering periods of 6, 6, 5, and 6 BEQ respectively. No specific set-aside has been designated for this opportunity, indicating it is open to all qualified vendors who can meet the technical and performance specifications.
