About this opportunity
The Department of Energy's Richland Operations Office requires continued wet wash laundry and decontamination services for regulated radiological protective clothing, nonregulated items, and respirator face pieces at the Hanford Site in Richland, Washington. The services support cleanup operations by DOE and other Hanford site contractors. The current contractor must maintain full operations, requiring a contract ceiling increase of $2.5 million. Interested vendors should submit a one page capacity statement by March 20th, 2024. The evaluation criteria will include the vendor's ability to perform commercial nuclear laundry practices and meet all normal commercial laundry standards.
No set-aside designation will be used. The NAICS code is 812199 and PSC code S206. The incumbent contractor is Unitech Services Group Inc., and the modification would add an initial six-month extension and two six-month options to the existing contract. The proposed contract ceiling increase of $2.5 million would allow laundry services to continue uninterrupted for DOE and its Hanford Site contractors through processing each closed loop system separately to prevent cross contamination.
