About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure a SWITCH SUBASSEMBLY through a limited competitive solicitation for a new spare buy. This contract opportunity requires the manufacture of a specific switch subassembly with stringent quality and technical requirements, including compliance with MIL-STD packaging standards and government source inspection. The solicitation mandates electronic submission of quotes via email to randy.e.stoker.civ@us.navy.mil by December 20, 2024, with a 90-day minimum quote expiration. Evaluation will be conducted using simplified acquisition procedures, with factors prioritized as: price, past performance, and supplier performance risk. Offerors must be authorized distributors and provide an official letter from the original equipment manufacturer confirming their distribution status.

The solicitation does not indicate a specific set-aside designation and contains no mentions of incumbent contractors or precise award values. The procurement will utilize a firm-fixed price (FFP) approach and is contingent upon availability of adequate Foreign Military Sales (FMS) funding. Potential contractors must be prepared to provide detailed pricing information, including unit price, total price, procurement delivery lead time, and cost breakdown with profit rate. The contract involves manufacturing a switch subassembly identified by specific CAGE code references, with strict requirements for design changes, part number modifications, and quality assurance. All freight will be FOB Origin, and the ultimate contract award will be bilateral, requiring written contractor acceptance prior to execution.
