About this opportunity

The Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command is seeking to procure electronic switches (NSN 7H-5930-013144080-GL) with a quantity of 10 units to be delivered to DLA Distribution in New Cumberland, PA. The government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under FAR 6.302-1, indicating potential sole-source procurement. Interested parties may submit proposals, quotations, or capability statements within 45 days of the pre-solicitation notice's publication (or 30 days if awarded under an existing Basic Ordering Agreement). The government will evaluate responses to determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement, with the final determination solely at their discretion. Potential vendors can obtain technical specifications and documents through the DoD Single Stock Point (DODSSP) via online ASSIST-Quick Search or by contacting their help desk.

The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designation for this contract opportunity. The procurement is subject to potential Free Trade Agreements and Buy American Act provisions, which may be specified in future solicitation clauses. Specific award values are not disclosed in the notice, though the initial procurement involves 10 electronic switches. The contract is categorized under PSC Category 5930 for Switches and is associated with the Naval Supply Systems Command. The government has determined that competitive specifications cannot be economically drafted, suggesting unique technical requirements for the electronic switch. Vendors interested in providing commercial items must identify their capabilities to the contracting officer within 15 days of the notice's publication.
