About this opportunity
The Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H) announced a webinar and two-day Proposers' Day for its Simulation-augmented, Real-time Platform Adaptive Seamless Trials (SURPASS) Program, with webinar registration closing October 12, 2026, and Proposers' Day registration closing October 28, 2026. Attendance at the Proposers' Day is optional and not required for proposal submission or funding consideration.
SURPASS aims to shorten clinical development of drugs and biologics from over 10 years to fewer than four years by establishing adaptive seamless platform trials that incorporate in silico modeling, AI-powered infrastructure, shared control information, and advanced adaptive designs. Core Platform Teams will develop disease-focused engines for therapeutic development spanning first-in-patient evaluation through preliminary efficacy or confirmatory assessment, with results producing reusable blueprints for future adaptive platforms.
The informational webinar is scheduled for October 15, 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM ET. The hybrid Proposers' Day will be held November 6, 2026 (9:00 AM to 5:00 PM ET, in-person in Washington, DC and virtual) and November 9, 2026 (9:00 AM to 12:00 PM ET, virtual only). Registration is required at https://solutions.arpa-h.gov/events with no same-day registration permitted. In-person attendees must present valid government-issued photo identification.
Interested parties may submit teaming profiles via https://solutions.arpa-h.gov/teaming and may present Lightning Talks or display posters (3.75 x 3.75 feet) on a first-come, first-served basis. A live Q&A session on Day 1 will address SURPASS questions. Full program details are available in solicitation ARPA-H-SOL-26-164. Direct questions to SURPASS@ARPA-H.GOV.
