About this opportunity
NASA's Shared Services Center issued a sole-source justification notice for support of the Argentina Observational Instrument Suite (AOIS) with a capability statement deadline of August 19, 2026 at 3:00 p.m. Central Standard Time. NASA/NSSC intends to award a commercial contract to ARGON CONCEPTUAL SYSTEMS, LLC under FAR 12.102(a), having determined the vendor is the sole provider of the required support.
The scope covers facilitative support for two meteor radar systems in Argentina—the Southern Argentina Advanced Meteor Radar (SAAMeR) and the Trelew Meteor Radar (TreMoR)—through December 31, 2028. Work includes coordinating communications and maintenance scheduling to sustain radar and optical operations, facilitating software updates for radar control and signal processing systems, and verifying software completion and functionality. The contractor's role is explicitly limited to coordination and facilitation; direct operational control, system development, redesign, or expansion are excluded unless separately authorized. Performance occurs at NASA Goddard Space Flight Center. NAICS 541715 applies.
Interested organizations may submit written capability statements only (not quotes) to Cody Guidry, Procurement Specialist II, at Cody.d.guidry@nasa.gov. The Government will evaluate responses solely to determine whether to conduct the procurement on a competitive basis; the decision to proceed non-competitively remains within Government discretion. NASA FAR Supplement Clause 1852.215-84 (Ombudsman) is applicable.
