Update #2 · Latest ·

See Government's Response to Questions Received below:

1. Q: Is the price is to be given per Pig including health paper and inoculations, and separate price for Transportation per shipment.
A: Yes
2. Q: Is the pricing fixed or can there be adjustments based on rising costs of Gas and Swine Market.
A: This is a fixed price type IDIQ solicitation. IDIQs shall be awarded to all that are able to meet technical requirements. The first Delivery Order will be awarded to the Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) offer. Future Delivery Orders will be competed via call/order to the IDIQ's (only) based on current market conditions and price at time of the order.
3. Q: Are the Pigs either sex and can they be mixed. Example Castrated males and females. There is no mention of gender in the specs.
A: We prefer all pigs in a shipment to be either all males (castrated) or all females. The problem being that in some instances the males will harass and stress the females especially if the ratio is skewed towards the males. A 50:50 ratio would be tolerable, but not ideal. We prefer and that we will tolerate mixed sexes as long as the females are not radically outnumbered.
