About this opportunity
The Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) is seeking a contractor to administer and insure a supplemental dental insurance plan for approximately 700 employees across four locations: Washington, DC; New York, NY; Chicago, IL; and Kansas City, MO. This dental plan will supplement existing federal benefit programs administered by the Office of Personnel Management (OPM). The contract will have an initial performance period of one year, with potential for up to four additional one-year option periods, with coverage set to begin in January 2026. The CFTC plans to release the Request for Proposals (RFP) electronically through SAM Contract Opportunities on or about May 05, 2025, with proposals expected to be due approximately 30 days after the RFP release. All responsible sources are invited to submit proposals, which will be considered by the agency.
The pre-solicitation notice indicates no specific set-aside designations for this contract opportunity. The solicitation falls under the NAICS category 524114 for Direct Health and Medical Insurance Carriers and PSC category Q503 for Medical-Dentistry services. While specific award value or budget ranges are not disclosed, the contract will cover dental insurance administration for 700 federal employees across four major metropolitan areas. The comprehensive dental plan will be an additional benefit to the standard federal employee benefit package, providing supplemental coverage beyond the existing OPM-administered programs. The multi-year contract structure, with one base year and four potential option years, suggests the CFTC is seeking a long-term, stable provider for this dental insurance services requirement.
