About this opportunity
The United States Marine Corps has published a Special Notice for Stryker Annual Maintenance J&A 25-0002, announcing a sole source contract opportunity for emergency medical services equipment maintenance. This notice pertains to the annual inspection, testing, diagnostics, maintenance, and calibration services of Stryker brand EMS equipment across four Marine Corps installations: MCB Camp Pendleton, MCLB Barstow, MCAGCC 29 Palms, and MCAS Miramar. The equipment to be serviced includes Power Pro series ambulance cots, Power Load series ambulance cot fasteners, Lucas devices, and Stair Chairs owned by the Fire & Emergency Services Departments at these locations. The maintenance services are mandated by manufacturer specifications and National Fire Protection Association standards, specifically NFPA 1910. The notice was posted on August 11, 2025, with responses due by September 10, 2025.
The purpose of this Special Notice is to formalize a sole source contract with Stryker Sales, LLC for comprehensive maintenance services that ensure equipment reliability, patient safety, and regulatory compliance. The total estimated contract value is $528,028.00, covering a base year and four one-year option periods from September 3, 2025, to March 2, 2031. The Marine Corps has determined that only Stryker can effectively perform these services due to their exclusive original equipment manufacturer status, proprietary diagnostic software, specialized calibration tools, and unique technical documentation access. Eligibility is restricted to Stryker as the sole authorized provider, given their strict control over service processes and specialized technician training requirements. The contract will be funded through Operations and Maintenance Marine Corps appropriations and administered by Marine Corps Installations - West Regional Contracting Office at Camp Pendleton.
