About this opportunity

The Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration Veterans Integrated Service Network 20 is preparing to solicit underground storage tank repair and replacement services set aside for Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses, with a sources sought response deadline of August 14, 2026.

Work occurs at Jonathan M. Wainwright Memorial VA Medical Center in Walla Walla, Washington. The scope comprises two tasks: install a new 794380-208 VR TLS Sump Sensor in the double-walled piping system of a 6,500-gallon generator tank (Building 76) to replace a failed L3 sensor alarming on the Veeder Root leak detection system, and replace the fill line on a 1,100-gallon tank (Tank #11, Building 78) with an upgraded fill tube and 71SO-410C OPW Vapor Tight Overfill Valve that automatically shuts off fuel flow at 95 percent tank capacity. The contractor must supply all labor and materials and comply with EPA regulations and Washington Department of Ecology standards.

Performance will be verified through deactivation of the L3 sensor alarm and testing that the overfill valve functions correctly. All contractor personnel must be accompanied by VA personnel while on VA facilities; no background investigation is required. The government welcomes responses from Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses, Veteran Owned Small Businesses, small business manufacturers, and other qualified sources. The contracting office is located in Vancouver, Washington. Contact Contracting Specialist Robyn Akins at robyn.akins@va.gov.
