About this opportunity

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Kansas City District is seeking to identify qualified businesses capable of providing mowing, trimming, and related grounds maintenance services at Stockton Lake Project in Stockton, Missouri. This is a Sources Sought notice, which is conducted for market research purposes only and does not constitute a formal solicitation or procurement commitment. Interested parties are invited to submit capability information by February 13, 2026, at 12:00 PM Central Standard Time. The requirement falls under NAICS Code 561730 (Landscaping Services) with a small business size standard of $9.5 million. Responses to this notice are entirely voluntary, and the government will not reimburse any costs associated with submitting information or follow-up documentation. It is important to note that not responding to this Sources Sought notice will not preclude businesses from participating in any future formal solicitation that may be issued based on this market research.

The anticipated contract will be structured as a Firm-Fixed-Price agreement with a one-year base period and two optional one-year renewal periods, extending potential performance through three years of service. The scope of work encompasses mowing and trimming services across approximately 25 recreation areas totaling roughly 750 acres per mowing cycle, with an anticipated frequency of approximately 14 mowing cycles per season throughout the year. The work areas include boat ramp access roads, parking lots, campgrounds, and office facilities at the lake project. This announcement contains no set-aside designation for small businesses, women-owned businesses, or any other contracting category. While no specific budget range or award value is disclosed in this Sources Sought notice, the scope and anticipated frequency of services suggest a substantial ongoing maintenance contract. Interested firms should prepare documentation demonstrating their capabilities, experience, and capacity to manage large-scale grounds maintenance operations prior to any future solicitation.
