About this opportunity
The Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service seeks a firm-fixed-price STERIS Total Care Service Contract for maintenance and support of decontamination and laboratory equipment, with proposals due August 14, 2026. This is a small business set-aside.
Place of performance is the Biologics Development Module at the National Bio & AgroDefense Facility in Manhattan, Kansas. The contract requires Original Equipment Manufacturer total care coverage for eight Vaporized Hydrogen Peroxide low-temperature sterilization units (two Victory, two Flex, four AR1200) and one Reliance 380PG laboratory washer. The base period runs September 1, 2026 through August 31, 2031, with four one-year option periods. Offerors must be certified or authorized STERIS service providers and maintain manufacturer warranties. STERIS personnel must meet NBAF entry requirements, biosafety standards, and USDA/ARS security procedures.
Services include preventive maintenance (two annual inspections for VHP units, four annual inspections for the washer) and unlimited corrective maintenance with four-hour phone triage and 48-hour onsite response during normal working hours. Coverage includes labor, travel, and standard maintenance parts; major component replacements exceeding $5,000 are excluded. Additional deliverables include 24/7 priority technical support, service reports within five business days, and annual service summaries.
Award will be made using Lowest Priced Technically Acceptable methodology. Required submissions include a transmittal letter, completed SF 1449, 2–3 documented references from federal/state/university customers for similar STERIS contracts within the past five years, and STERIS authorization certification. Questions are due August 10, 2026 at 10:00 AM CST. The NAICS code is 811210, and the contract is subject to Service Contract Labor Standards.
