About this opportunity
The Department of the Air Force Reserve Command, specifically the 911th Air Wing at Pittsburgh Air Reserve Base, is seeking qualified businesses to provide maintenance services for a stationary nitrogen generator manufactured by Bauer Compressors, Inc. (Model Number SNG II-408 15-460-3-60). This sources sought notice is a market research effort to determine potential contractors' capabilities and assess whether a future solicitation might be set aside for small businesses. Interested firms must submit a comprehensive 5-page capabilities package that includes three past references, details on management and labor capabilities, and information about potential subcontracting arrangements. All respondents must be registered in the System of Award Management (SAM) database and can submit their responses electronically to Contracting Specialist Crystal Spurlin and Contracting Officer Jay De Leonibus by May 7, 2025, at 5:00 PM Eastern. The evaluation will focus on firms' ability to perform maintenance on the nitrogen generator, with particular attention to their experience, technical capabilities, and socio-economic status.

The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) Code for this opportunity is 811310 with a size standard of $12.5 million, covering commercial and industrial machinery and equipment repair and maintenance. While no specific contract value is mentioned, the maintenance will involve periodic inspections and servicing every 500 operating hours, annually, and biennially over a five-year period. The maintenance work will primarily occur Monday through Friday from 0630-1500, with potential for weekend work requiring advance approval. Contractors will be expected to provide qualified technicians, submit written reports within 5 business days of maintenance, and coordinate work to minimize disruption to C-17 aircraft maintenance operations.
