About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details maintenance requirements for a stationary nitrogen generator located at the 911th MXS, Pittsburgh Air Reserve Base. The maintenance involves a Bauer Compressors SNG II-408 model nitrogen generator, which requires periodic inspections and servicing every 500 operating hours, annually, and biennially over a five-year period. The contractor must provide qualified technicians to perform comprehensive maintenance, including condition reporting, component inspections, and repair work while ensuring minimal equipment downtime.
Key service specifications include submitting written reports within 5 business days of maintenance, coordinating work to avoid disrupting C-17 aircraft maintenance, and following manufacturer specifications for repairs. The maintenance will occur Monday through Friday from 0630-1500, with advance approval required for weekend work. The contractor is responsible for proper waste disposal, including hazardous waste coordination with the 911th Civil Engineering Flight. The associated federal contract opportunity is a Sources Sought notice (FA6712-25-RFI-NitrogenGenerator) seeking qualified businesses to perform these maintenance services, with responses due by 05/07/2025, and potentially targeting small business set-asides under NAICS code 811310.
