About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District St. Louis is seeking cultural resources support services through a Sources Sought notice for the Mandatory Center of Expertise for the Curation and Management of Archaeological Collections (MCX CMAC). The pre-solicitation aims to gather information to determine the most appropriate acquisition strategy for an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. Potential contractors should be prepared to provide specialized archaeological and cultural resources expertise within the social sciences and humanities research domain. The agency will use the collected information to assess market capabilities, evaluate potential competition, and determine the feasibility of a small business contract approach. Interested vendors must submit their responses by February 6, 2025, with the understanding that all submitted information will remain confidential and used solely for internal agency decision-making purposes.
The pre-solicitation currently indicates no specific set-aside designation, though the agency is exploring the possibility of a small business set-aside contract. The contract will be categorized under NAICS code 541720 for Research and Development in the Social Sciences and Humanities, with a Product Service Code (PSC) of B503 for Special Studies/Analysis in Archaeological and Paleontological services. While specific award values are not disclosed in this notice, the contract appears focused on supporting the St. Louis District's cultural resources management needs. The potential IDIQ contract structure suggests flexible service delivery and potentially multiple award opportunities for qualified vendors. The procurement process will focus on assessing vendors' capabilities to provide comprehensive cultural resources support services for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.
