The BCA has established functional groups that support translational B cell immunobiology research, analyzing the B cell response to HIV vaccines. This includes high-throughput automated immunoglobulin and transcriptome analyses. Using cutting-edge technologies, the BCA team collaborates with external partners to provide B cell receptor sequencing for HIV vaccine clinical trials. These results enable investigators to perform a phenotypic and functional assessment of the B cell response to HIV vaccines. BCA utilizes SPT Labtech Firefly and Dragonfly systems. Since the current systems are not to be replaced, NIAID requires this procurement of SPT Labtech services with maintenance support of existing systems and components. These services for the government owned instruments are needed to ensure the BCAs clinical trial research is accurate and consistent for data integrity.SPT Labtech is the only vendor that can provide the service for these instruments.
