About this opportunity
The U.S. Army Contracting Command, Aberdeen Proving Ground, Natick Division has issued a special notice announcing its intent to award a sole source contract to Gerber Technology LLC for maintenance, calibration, and support services for specialized Gerber Systems at the Natick Soldier Systems Center. The contract will be awarded under FAR 13.106-1(b)(1) authority as a firm fixed price agreement covering a base year with four option years and a potential six-month extension. The Army has determined that Gerber Technology LLC, located in Tolland, Connecticut, is the only viable contractor capable of providing these services since they are the manufacturer of the systems and do not license service representatives to other companies. The contract falls under NAICS code 811490 with a size standard of $9,000,000 in gross revenue and supports the U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command, Soldier Center.
The purpose of this sole source procurement is to ensure continued maintenance and calibration of specialized hardware and software systems that support Warfighter and project officers' design projects across multiple domains including field gear, combat equipment, chemical/biological protection, body armor, and extreme weather gear. Interested parties may express their interest and capability by submitting responses via email to both the Contract Specialist Edmund J. Bousaleh and Contracting Officer Alejandro Ayala no later than 1:00 PM EDT on August 8, 2025. The government emphasizes that this is not a request for proposals and no solicitation document is available. All costs associated with responding to this notice must be borne solely by the interested parties, as the government will not reimburse any information or administrative costs. The justification for limiting competition is based on Gerber Technology's unique position as the sole provider of certified technicians capable of maintaining their proprietary Plotter and Cutter systems.
