About this opportunity
This Special Notice is from the U.S. Army Contracting Command - Detroit Arsenal (ACC-DTA) regarding a planned Request for Prototype Proposals (RPP) for a Self-Propelled Howitzer System (SPHS) Performance Demonstration. The purpose of this project is to conduct a performance demonstration of existing 155mm self-propelled howitzers to evaluate their technical and operational capabilities.
The objective of the performance demonstration is to determine if viable platforms exist to equip Division Artillery units. The Government is investigating contractor capabilities and does not intend to pursue a follow-on production effort under this project. A virtual industry day will be held on April 3, 2024 for interested parties to register by March 29, 2024. The Government also plans to release a Request for Information (RFI) on or before March 12, 2024, with responses due by April 19, 2024. The demonstration is anticipated to take place in Summer 2024 at a government test site, and the Government will award up to $250,000 per vendor to participate under the Detroit Arsenal Innovation (DAI) Other Transaction Agreement.
