Performance Demonstration Overview

The intent of this project is to conduct a Self-Propelled Howitzer System Performance Demonstration in Summer 2024 anticipated at a Government test site with all interested domestic and foreign howitzer system industry vendors. The objective of the event is for the Government to observe the capabilities of current, non-developmental, 155mm howitzer systems to help inform future efforts. The Government is interested in vendors offerings throughout the entire self-propelled howitzer system, including the firing platform, the rearm platform, projectiles, fuzes, and propellant. Vendors will be asked to demonstrate the capabilities of their system by performing pre-determined operational scenarios as well as characterization events. The Government will host a Virtual Industry Day to address details, concerns, and questions, ahead of the Self-Propelled Howitzer System Performance Demonstration.

Additional registration instructions and information about this performance demonstration will be posted to SAM.gov.
