About this opportunity
The Department of the Army Corps of Engineers Engineering District Omaha is seeking to replace two filter-separators at the Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) Area 19 Fuel Farm located at Fort Indiantown Gap, Pennsylvania. The project involves upgrading from vertical to horizontal filter-separator equipment, necessitated by the current units being 50 years old with significant structural flaws and unavailable replacement parts. This pre-solicitation notice is specifically targeting prime contractors in the commercial and industrial machinery equipment repair and maintenance sector (NAICS 811310). Potential bidders must submit a two-page capability statement demonstrating similar project experience within the past seven years, along with specific company details including CAGE code, UEI, small business classifications, and SAM registration status. The government will use these submissions to assess the project's viability and scope, with responses due by January 10, 2025, at 2:00 PM CST.
The procurement does not have a specific small business set-aside designation, and the anticipated solicitation is expected to be released in late July or early August 2025. The period of performance for the project is estimated at 365 days, focusing on maintenance of fuel supply facilities (PSC Z1NA). While specific award values are not detailed in the pre-solicitation notice, the project involves comprehensive replacement of critical infrastructure that has been in place since 1974. Potential bidders are required to email their responses directly to the designated Contract Specialist and Contracting Officer, with no telephone inquiries permitted. The government will review submissions to determine market interest and potential contractor capabilities but will not provide individual responses to the submitted materials.
