The Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service seeks quotations for one Soxhlet Extractor System, with offers due July 29, 2026 at 5:00 PM Central Time. This is a Total Small Business Set-Aside; all responsible small business concerns may submit quotations.
Place of performance is Byron, Georgia. The system must employ the Randall Improved Soxhlet extraction method with a minimum of six extraction positions, capable of completing extraction cycles within 45–60 minutes at a solvent recovery rate of at least 80%. Materials must be borosilicate glass or chemically resistant materials compatible with organic solvents including hexane, petroleum ether, and ethanol. The system requires an integrated heating mantle or compatible external heating source, an efficient condenser for continuous solvent reflux, and compatibility with standard U.S. laboratory power supply (120V, 60Hz).
Delivery is required within 60 days after award, F.O.B. destination. The vendor must provide the complete system with all required glassware and accessories, user manual, operating instructions, manufacturer warranty documentation, packing list, and certificate of conformity. Pricing must be inclusive of all shipping and freight. The NAICS code is 334516, Laboratory Equipment and Supplies Manufacturing; the PSC code is 6640, Laboratory Equipment and Supplies. The Government intends to make one firm fixed-price award evaluated on a lowest-price technically-acceptable basis. Technical acceptability is determined by meeting all salient characteristics with sufficient descriptive literature. Past performance will be evaluated as acceptable, neutral, or unacceptable. Vendors must provide a Certificate of Conformance demonstrating traceability to the original equipment manufacturer and must be authorized to sell the manufacturer's products.
