About this opportunity
The Department of Agriculture Forest Service is seeking a small business contractor to replace a well at the Rio Grande National Forest's South Fork Bunkhouse near South Fork, Colorado. The project involves constructing, drilling, and developing a new potable water well, performing water quality analysis for a Public Water System, installing an existing submersible pump, and installing a new pump control panel. The contract will be awarded as a firm-fixed-price agreement under NAICS code 237110 with a negotiation process governed by Federal Acquisition Regulation Part 15. Interested contractors must submit a Statement of Capability to Contract Specialist Nolan McDowell by January 29, 2025, including company details, Unique Entity Identification (UEI) number, and any small business designations. Responses should demonstrate the firm's capability to complete the water infrastructure project within the specified requirements.
The opportunity is a total (100%) small business set-aside with an anticipated project magnitude between $25,000 and $40,000. The period of performance is 60 days following the Notice to Proceed, which indicates a relatively short-term project timeline. Contractors must have expertise in water and sewer line construction and meet the small business size standard of $39.5 million for the specified NAICS code. The project will require precise water system infrastructure work, including well drilling, pump installation, and ensuring water quality compliance for the Public Water System. Potential bidders should carefully review the attached Performance Work Statement and be prepared to demonstrate their technical capabilities and small business credentials when responding to the pre-solicitation notice.
